Product Overview
The SCB18 is a three-phase cast-resin dry-type transformer. The technical schedule below covers ratings from 30 to 2,000 kVA, with 6, 6.3 and 10 kV high-voltage options and a 0.4 kV low-voltage rating. Load losses are listed separately for the B, F and H reference-temperature columns.
Construction and Features
- Epoxy-resin cast dry-type construction.
- Mechanical strength, short-circuit withstand capability and low partial discharge are described as series design features.
- Forced-air cooling is described for additional loading; the permitted loading and duration depend on the selected design and operating conditions.
- Temperature monitoring and protection systems can be specified.
- Confirm the enclosure, environmental conditions and installation arrangement for the selected unit.

The 1,000 kVA entry lists a no-load loss of 1,020 W. Load loss is 6,885 W in the B (100°C) column, 7,315 W in the F (120°C) column and 7,885 W in the H (145°C) column.
Load-loss values are listed at separate reference temperatures. Confirm the insulation system and applicable reference temperature for the selected design before comparing performance or placing an order.
Selection and Enquiries
Send the required rated capacity, primary and secondary voltages, frequency, connection, installation conditions, enclosure requirements, quantity and project location. Request the confirmed dimensions, weight, sound-level data, short-circuit impedance and scope of supply for the selected unit.
Installation and Maintenance
Installation, ventilation, fire-safety provisions and any hazardous-area requirements must be assessed for the selected design and site. Dry-type construction does not by itself establish an explosion-protection rating. Follow the manufacturer’s installation, inspection and maintenance instructions.
